Following further investment by the London Development Agency and GLL, Unique Systems have recently completed a further phase in the improvements to the fitness facilities at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre (CPNSC).
Having originally been introduced to the project in 2005 we returned to enhance the AV provision: dovetailing the expansion requirements with the existing equipment wherever possible. This necessitated the removal of the Cloud Pump cardio entertainment system and it’s replacement with a wireless Audeon, thereby enabling grater operational flexibility with the equipment layout. The multi-zone distribution system has been reconfigured to include for new Aerobiking, iPod docking and Technogym vario locations.
The Technogym Visio system has also been introduced, requiring Cat5e cabling alongside the coaxial cabling and this has been extended – whilst opportunity exists – to other areas, enabling an element of future proofing.
In addition to the traditional large entertainment screens, and those for group exercise virtual instruction, new screens have been provided to enable ‘digital signage’ communication to members.
Commenting, Lucy Murray-Robertson (GLL Wellness Technical Manager) says ‘Unique have been our preferred AV supplier for a number of years. In this time they have come to understand our brand well. This enables us to maintainbrand consistency, but at the same time to seamlessly adopt new technologies recommended. Their relationship with our other contractors – and our staff – means that they can all work as a team, without the next for constant supervision. This saves us an awful lot of time, enabling us to remain focussed on our members’ requirements.
