Fitness On Demand™ Unveils 4th Generation Kiosk at IHRSA 2015

Today Fitness On Demand™ announced plans to unveil its latest virtual kiosk at the International Health Racquet and Sports Association tradeshow on March 12th in Los Angeles, California, exposing some of the biggest advancements in virtual fitness technology.

Like its predecessors, this new kiosk includes over 1000 fitness videos that can be accessed on-demand or prescheduled by facility administrators. Now standard FOD™ features,-as well as many new features- can be found in a much smaller form factor, weighing a total of only 5 kg.

One such enhancement is the newly designed Schedule Viewer. This app, which serves as a digital “class calendar” allows participants to review, research, rate, RSVP, and watch samples of future events-both virtual classes and classes led by “live” instructors. Features like these are accessible to fitness goers anytime and welcomed by a bright LED wide-aspect screen featuring multi-touch acoustic wave technology for blazing fast responsiveness. The kiosk provokes almost a natural desire to touch and FOD™ has engineered with this in mind incorporating edge-to-edge glass making this unit exceptionally easy to clean and maintain.

“Fitness operators have to be cautious when investing in technology that will be installed on the gym floor”, says Garrett Marshall, a Director at FOD™. “The perfect POI/POS (point-of-information/point-of-sale) system should augment your architecture/design while being retail-hardened enough to provide the longevity you expect.”

Virtual classes, including kickboxing, yoga, cycling and dance are taught by world-class instructors, and can be played on-demand, or at pre-scheduled times, offering unparalleled flexibility and access to a variety of classes. For more information, visit www.fitnessondemand247.com.

FOD Workout 4

Fitness on Demand

Visitors to Unique Systems (AV) Ltd stand at LIW October 2014, will have been among the first people in the UK to witness Fitness On Demand (FOD) with whom Unique have secured a UK wide distribution contract.

Based in Minnesota, FOD are a market leading developer of interactive group fitness products and the latest Fitness on Demand offering is a fully automated Digital Studio System, capable of delivering up to 600 different studio type classes. Ranging from high energy sessions such as Spin, Aerobics and Body Pump to the slower core strengthening exercises like Pilates all with or without the need for an instructor. The intensity and duration of each workout can be varied by the user/instructor and once the class is over the system simply shuts down until it is needed again. Classes are selected via a wall mounted kiosk and then either projected onto a 120” Electric Screen or a High Definition TV. Here at Unique Systems we believe this is the perfect way for health clubs and sports centres to offer their members a complete functional studio from the minute they open their doors until the minute they close and not just when an instructor is scheduled to take a class.

The show itself generated many new leads and Unique are still receiving enquiries from people who took the product information away with them. FOD was extremely well received by those who took the time to see it in action and see for themselves the way it can benefit their own fitness centres. We were also pleased to be able to introduce Garrett Marshall the Business Development Director of Fitness on Demand to many of our potential new clients.
